1) To gather experts in particle technology from the Asia-Oceania region as well as around the world from academia and industry;
2) To form a network of particle technology researchers in the Asia-Oceania region in order to facilitate research collaboration between them;
3) To discuss advances in particle science and technology from the Asia-Oceania region as well as around the world;
4) To monitor regional achievements and determine future regional trends in the research and development of particle technology;
5) To exchange new ideas and initiate new developments in research on particle technology among academic and industrial people in the Asia-Oceania region;
6) To strengthen the relations and promote cooperation among particle technology research and academic communities in the Asian-Oceania region;
7) To complement the quadrennial World Congress on Particle Technology (WCPT).
